I appreciate the opportunity to present to you myself and my work.
My primary work experience relates to graphic arts and the printing industry, as my resume reveals; however, as a recent graduate of Augusta State University, I have broadened my qualifications beyond what my work experience might suggest. What you will not find in my resume are the life experiences that have shaped my vision. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, but as a result of a sort of ‘walk-about’ in the late 1990s throughout the United States and parts of Europe, I have lived for some time in both Seattle, Washington and a couple of small towns in Oklahoma. I returned to Augusta, Georgia in 2003 to enroll in school. In May 2008, I graduated with a degree in English Literature, and in May 2009, I graduated again with a degree in Art. As an artist, it is essential to understand the symbiotic relationship between verbal and visual forms of communication. My experience and education place me in a unique position to realize the full potential of this relationship.
Also, though the bulk of my experience lies within the graphics industry, in my youth and throughout my travels, I have worked in a variety of job assignments, which is a testament not only to my flexibility but also to my spirit of determination. Also, as you may see, my work as an artist lends a quality to my work, whatever the endeavor, that is rarely found in the work of others.
Please feel free to contact me at your convenience if you have any questions or if you would like to talk with me further.
